Description
The Cool-Pop plugin for wordpress creates a pop-over window in your blog. Unlike non-plugin pop-over scripts,
this pop-over will work on every page and post of the blog.
Cool-Pop has a long list of outstanding features and stands out above other scripts because of the flexibiliy we
have built in.
We built Cool-Pop so that it will work great for everyone, internet marketers, information providers and more.
Features
Here is a short list of some of the features:
- Content can be any HTML, a mini sales page, a graphic image, whatever you want
- WYSIWYG HTML editor built in
- Optionally display an exit message if they visitor click on the No Thanks Button
- Flexible window sizing
- Flexible Placement of the box. Automatically place it left, right, center and top, middle, bottom or have it go where the blog posts are or you can specify exact top left co-ordinates.
- Flexible Timing allows you to specify when the box pops over in number of second. Do it immediately or wait a few.
- Flexible Re-display options allow you to specify how many times the box is displayed and closed by the user until it shows up no more. And how long in between closes you wait to re-display it. For example, by default it is set to re-display the box 2 more times and do not display it for 1 day after someone closes it. The goal is not to annoy the visitor to the point that they do not come back. But you can change that to anything you want, isn;t flexibility great?
- If you are using the Remind me later feature (below) you can specify the time that box will "remind them".
- Optionally display a remind me later button. You can also change the text of the button to anything that you want.
- Optionally display a no thanks button that will permanently make the window no show. You can also change the text of the button to anything you want.
- An ID can be assigned to a Pop-Over so that when you change the pop-over and would like people that have already seen it to see it again, you just change the ID and the cookies get reset.
- The pop-over box is CSS based, you can optionally override ANY of the CSS setting right in the admin area. You can change the border color, type, whatever, you have COMPLETE override capability of the default CSS.
Cool-Pop has been tested with Wordpress 3.0 and the major browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari) on Both OSX and Windows.

Is there a manual?
Yes, kind of, we use a Wiki based web system where we can quickly make changes. The latest documentation is always available there. You can access the wiki from within the Cool-Pop admin area or by going to the product page at http://www.plugins-for-wordpress.com/cool-pop.
How do I change the box border?
You can override the CSS for any part of the box. In the Wiki we have examples and on the Admin page for Cool-Pop there is an example in the Advanced Formatting section of changing the border and background.
